Modernise a public service

Keep the obligations. Lose the inherited constraints.

A civic or regulated service needs modern software without vague calculations, lost records, inaccessible journeys or another costly monolith that only partly fits the work.

01 · The commercial route

What can be commissioned

02 · Tangible output

What leaves with you

  • S5 buys a service specification covering statutory and local rules, users, accessibility, safeguarding, reporting, appeals, migration and interfaces, with a priced build plan.
  • S6, if commissioned, builds the agreed service and repeatable checks of calculations, permissions, records and exceptions, with an operating handover.
  • S4 is optional diligence on an existing supplier or system. Cost and operating assumptions cover implementation, licences, hosting, support, recovery and future change.

03 · Authority

Who does what

You: Bring service owners, frontline users, legal/policy authority, information governance, procurement and current supplier constraints into the specification and acceptance decisions.

Zero Drift: Model domains and rules, build and verify the agreed system, document operation, migration and exit. We expose trade-offs and gaps before they become an expensive programme.

04 · Decision gate

What acceptance means

S5: approve the obligations, journeys and priced plan. S6: demonstrate those journeys and records end to end, test consequential rules and hand over operating and exit evidence. S4 has its own findings and red-flag report.

Agree first: The public body's procurement route, DPIA/security responsibilities, accessibility standard, records retention, controller/processor roles and any framework requirement remain engagement-specific.

Boundary: This is not a claim of a G-Cloud listing, organisational ISO 27001 or Cyber Essentials certification. A cost reduction must be established against the actual incumbent and service workload.
